As part of the DATACLIM project (Data and Information Management for Adaptation to Climate Change), historical analogue climate data sets from Indonesia were digitised. The Open Climability Suite is responsible for processing and visualising the digitised data.
The platform was implemented with Drupal 7.x. Geovisualisation is handled by the Open Layers module; the climate data is stored in a Mongo DB and requested from Drupal using special search filters. Graphs are rendered using the D3 JavaScript library. Open Layers configuration and graphs were contributed by the client.
The Open Climability Suite was consistently developed as a multilingual Drupal distribution so that it can be used internationally for similar projects and was honoured with the Open Source Sustainability Award for this.
